Hey Victoria — thanks for your comment! I agree there are some times when a paying great guide is a worthy expense. I just don’t think it’s all the time and I see a lot of people paying extra money to do things they could do by themselves. So I guess my point was just to be a bit more conscious of when it’s worth it and when it’s not — and make sure your guide is indeed a passionate local!
